Dirtbike-Powered Boat: Genius or Moronic?

redneck bike

Have you ever seen a dirtbike-powered boat? Probably not, but that doesn’t mean that it wasn’t possible. Not only does he get it started, but he even uses the dirtbike to steer┬áthe boat!

It may look a little redneck, but the average small boat motor can cost anywhere from $400 for a 2HP to nearly $900 for a 2.5HP. Seems kinda expensive, right? Maybe this was just a cheap fix for a fun time on the lake! This appears to be out west, and they don’t have as many bodies of water in some places, meaning that they might not get the chance to go on the water enough to make it worth it for an expensive outboard motor. It appears to work sort of like a low-powered jet ski.
